June Program: Using Emigrant Guides for Genealogical Research!

Certified Genealogist Julie Miller (pictured above) will tell us about emigrant guides providing essential information and practical advice to our ancestors about travel routes, weather, opportunities, and much more. Julie will explain how to use emigrant guides for insight into the how’s and why’s of an ancestor’s preparation and journey across an ocean or the country.

Julie is a Certified Genealogist with over 35 years of genealogy research experience, past genealogy column writer, past vice president of National Genealogy Society, past president of Colorado Genealogical Society in Denver and Colorado Chapter of Assn of Professional Genealogist besides serving on the Board of the Assn of Professional Genealogists and International Soceity of Family History Writers and Editors, and past volunteer at the National Archives facility in Denver.
