Society Membership Fees
Society Membership is from January 1st through December 31st. Renewals are due by January 31. After July 1st, new members may join for half price.

Beginning in 2012, any member or family requesting a printed newsleletter needs to add $3 to the annual membership dues or $30 to the lifetime membership dues to cover production and postage increases. The digital/electronic edition has no increase in fees.

Membership Benefits
- Monthly Meetings – Larimer County Genealogical Society meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Harmony Library, Community Meeting Room, 4616 S. Shields Street, Fort Collins, Colorado. There is no meeting in December. Each meeting includes a speaker who presents a lecture on a variety of genealogical topics. Presentation handouts, books published by the Society, recycled genealogical items, and Society event flyers are always available at our meetings. Visitors are cordially invited to attend.
- Newsletter – The society newsletter is published bimonthly in January, March, May, July, September, and November. Each issue is filled with our calendar of events, President’s message, Family History Center news, interesting websites, genealogy tidbits, technology, society news, genealogical research tips, our featured ancestor story, and past program highlights. Back issues of the newsletter are also available. Members can receive your issue by mail for an extra fee or digitally via email or download current or past issues.
- Annual Classes and Workshops - Over 18 classes and workshops are presented at five different libraries in Larimer County. All events are FREE to the public except as noted. Visit our Annual Classes webpage to learn more.
- Family Tree Maker Users Group – Members and visitors are cordially invited to attend our monthly classes on this popular genealogy software at different libraries except no classes are scheduled in July, August, or December. Visit our Family Tree Maker webpage for class information.
- Multiple Society Events – Our society sponsors or attends several major public events throughout the year including the Colorado Expo and Victorian Sunday Festival held in June.
- Recycle Table- Members donate used genealogical magazines which are then offered at the meetings at bargain prices. Members get books, magazines, or software at a greatly reduced price and support the Society at the same time.
- Research Help – Members can obtain assistance from our Society’s researcher on research help. As a courtesy, visitors can ask for a single inquiry on their ancestor, who lived in Larimer County. For a nominal fee, our researcher will obtain BMD certificates or other documents and mail or email the attachment(s) to you. Visit our Genealogy Resources webpage or Contact Us webpage for help.
- Research Projects – Our society creates new research projects to sell new publications or digitize our older publciations for online databases on our webiste. We also help our Colorado Council of Genelaogical Societies with indexing free Colorado databases for the Family History Library’s website.
- Society Book and Video Loan – Members have a selection of genealogy books and videos available to check out. Visit our Publications webpage for a list of our society publications.
- Holiday Party – The Society holds an annual holiday dinner and party in Fort Collins or Loveland. An interesting progrm is presented after dinner plus many door prizes including genealogy software and local restaurant coupons are raffled at this fun holiday event.
