DNA Study Group

The DNA study group will be changing this year.  We will continue to meet the last Monday of each month except May which will be one week earlier due to Memorial day, and we will not meet in December.  We will have open discussions and short demos.  We are not currently planning formal presentations this year.

The schedule for each month.

6:00-7:00            Optional open Q&A about testing and test results

7:00-8:00            DNA news highlights, tool demos, and open discussion

8:00-8:30            Final wrap-up

The DNA Study Group is currently meeting via zoom. The next meeting occurs on May 23. Contact DNA Group Leader Glenn York at email: [email protected] for information on how to join.

Larimer County Genealogical Society members are also invited to participate in the Northern Colorado Regional Study group sponsored by Longmont Genealogical Society.

The Northern Colorado Regional Study group will initially meet at 3 PM on the second Wednesday of each month.  This group will start the year with an introductory presentation next week.  Starting in February this group will do a book study using “Genetic Genealogy in Practice”.  This is will be a repeat for many of you that did the book study last year, but it is an opportunity to review this material and often you will learn more going through the material a second time.  It is also an opportunity for people that were not able to attend all sessions last year or want to review specific chapters.
