Our November 6 meeting will be a hybrid meeting. We will be meeting both in-person and via Zoom. I encourage as many of you as possible to join us at the Clearview Library in Windsor at 10:00 AM (please note the time change) in the large meeting room just inside the entrance to the right. The address is: 720 3rd Street, Windsor, CO 80550.
Due to a conflict with another meeting, we must start at 10 am and depart at 11:15 am. Thus, the meeting will be a little shorter than usual.
Since this will be our first attempt at a Hybrid Meeting and we will be using a new location, it may be a bit of a technical challenge. If those of you attending via Zoom have problems logging in, please be patient and note you will need to use the provided passcode.
I will be providing a presentation on how to use Meyers Gazetteer to find the towns and villages where your ancestors lived and all the additional information it will provide about where to find Civil and Church records for that location. It is a Key Research Tool that every German researcher must have in his tool kit. We discussed this topic in a meeting well over a year ago; but, since it is such an Important tool, many members believed it was worth revisiting.
