January Program: Tribute to an Honor Flight Veteran

LCGS-Website-Banner

The Larimer County Genealogial Society meets monthly with a short business meeting and a program speaker. The speakers are chosen to talk about topics of great interest for beginning and experienced genealogists.

This month, member and WWII veteran Boyd Johnson (shown above) will tell about his recent Honor Flight trip to Washington DC and his interesting WWII story. In addition, our webmaster will show our updated calendar and registration system on our website. Our January meeting includes our annual election of officers. We’ll also have our raffle drawings for several door prizes including a newspaper database subscription, LCGS membership, and sevceral restaurant certificates. Raffle tickets are $5 each. Donations go towards our library genealogy book program.

Our winter meetings will be held at the Council Tree Library in Fort Collins. The parking, lighting, and accessability is very good by the entrance. See our calendar each month for the location of each meeting.

If members can’t attend, we record our monthly programs for limited access to members only starting on the following weekend for nine days. This is a great member benefit for members who can’t attend or live outside of Larimer County, or want to see the monthy program again!

Public is welcome to attend and encouraged to join our society. Please bring a relative or friend interested in genealogy.
