November Program: Researching Family Search’s Website with Pat Johnson

Pat Johnson II

Speaker Pat Johnson (shown above) will present her program on “Researching Family Search’s Website.” Pat will show how to search this popular free website with all the available worldwide databases. This website receives over five million visitors a day and has access to the largest library (Family History Library in Salt Lake City) collection in the world. Learn the “Pandora’s Box” of tools for using this great site for genealogy research including WIKI, the Source Box, Ancestral File and the Pedigree Resource File.

Pat is a genealogy instructor besides speaking at many societies and conferences in Colorado and Wyoming. She is a genealogy column writer for 50 Plus Marketplace News, library genealogy volunteer at Old Town Library in Fort Collins, Fort Collins Family History Center volunteer, and a member and the Registrar for the Council Tree DAR in Windsor.

If members can’t attend this program, our society records the program for viewing during the following three weeks. This is a great benefit for our members who can’t attend, are located elsewhere or want to see the program again. Members receive an email with the instructions to access the video.

Please bring a relative or friend interested in genealogy or family history. Open to the public, but consider joining our society to learn more about researching your ancestors!
