October Program: Rendezvous in the Capitol – Researching Your Ancestors in Washington, DC with Karla Flook

Karla Flook (Shown above) will share her experiences and tips about researching in Washington, DC at the famous institutions found there. We can sometimes be intimidated by these repositories of records. Karla will give us an inside view and share how to get the most out of a visit to Washington, D.C. It is a chance for us to hear about researching at these famous places that are often out of our personal reach.

Karla is a self employed genealogy and history researcher. She offers consultation, organizing and research help to patrons. Karla does research at: Library of Congress, National Archives, DAR Library, and Family History Library. She also offers a service to organize, identify and scan old photographs. In Coalition Against Childhood Cancer Karla is a member, past board member, and past co-chair of the Events Committee. She is an active advocate for her causes at the Colorado State government level and the National government level.
