President Glenn York provides a brief overview of our society with the latest committee reports followed by tonight’s topic on Spies Among US: Tracing World War I Era Ancestors through FBI and American Protective League Records.

Learn how a mass collective of middle class private citizens helped the FBI collect information on non-US citizens during the Great War, and how to track down the files these investigations left behind.

Debra Dudek

Debra Dudek is Head of Adult and Teen Services at the Fountaindale Public Library District in Bolingbrook, IL. She holds a post graduate certificate in Genealogical, Palaeographic & Heraldic Studies from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland, and is the author of the World War I Research Guide: Tracing American Military and Non-Combatant Ancestors – Includes a Guide to Canadian Military Research which is available as a free PDF from the World War One Centennial Commission website.

Ms. Dudek specializes in Word War I, UK Genealogy, and technology topics. She is the author of the World War I Genealogy Research Guide which is available as a free PDF from the World War I Centennial Commission website.
