Monthly Meetings – Larimer County Genealogical Society meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month at the Good Samaritan Village on 508 W. Trilby Road in Fort Collins, Colorado. Please park on the east side and enter through the main door and we meet in the chapel. There is no meeting in December.
Each meeting includes a speaker who presents a variety of genealogical topics. Presentation handouts and Society event flyers are always available at our meetings. Visitors are cordially invited to attend, but are encouraged to join our society to learn more about genealogy.

Recordings – Our society records our business meetings and most of our monthly programs (when allowed) for our members for later playback up to 25 days after each meeting. An email is sent with a password for access to the past video.
Newsletter – The society newsletter is published bimonthly in January March, May, July, September, and November. Each issue is filled with our calendar of events, President’s message, Family History Center news, interesting websites, genealogy tidbits, technology, society news, genealogical research tips, our featured ancestor story, and past program highlights.
Archived issues of the newsletter are also available on this website under Resources/Education menu tab. Members can receive the newsletter digitally via email or even download past issues from our website.
Annual Classes and Workshops – Our society offers 16 classes and workshops that are presented at three different library systems (Fort Collins, Loveland, & Wellington) in Larimer County. All events are FREE to the public except as noted. Study Groups – Members or visitors can join any of our six different study groups that meet monthly: British, Colonial, DNA, Family History Writing, Irish, and Technology. See our Study Groups webpage under the Resources/Education menu tab to learn more about these groups and when and where they meet.
Research Help – Members and visitors can obtain FREE assistance from our Society’s researcher or visit our research volunteers at the Old Town Library in Fort Collins or Loveland Library on Thursday afternoons from 1 to 5 pm or on the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 pm at the Wellington Library except holidays.
For a nominal fee, our society researcher will obtain BMD certificates or other documents and mail or email the attachment(s) to you. Visit our Genealogy Resources webpage or Contact Us webpage for help.
Annual Conference For A Cause – Our society holds our annual Conference For A Cause seminar at the Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland, CO during the fall season. The $50 per person fee based event is an all day seminar with a nationally recognized genealogy speaker, who presents four classes based on their expertise.
Past speakers included Josh Taylor, Curt Wicher, Blaine Bettinger, and Dr. Thomas W. Jones.
Our conference speaker on September 28, 2019 will be Legal Genealogist Judy Russell. More conference info will be available in June 2019. The seminar proceeds are donated to local organizations making a difference towards genelaogy such as our local archives or Colorado Newspapers archives.

Society Membership is from January 1st through December 31st. Renewals are due by January 31. After July 1st, new members may join for half price on the annual fees only!
You have three options to join our society:
1) Attend our monthly meetings or classes and complete a membership application form with your check.
2) Download our 2020 membership application form and mail to our membership chair with your check.
3) Go to our membership application webpage and complete the online form and pay using your credit or debit card or mail the completed form to our membership chair with your check.
