BSG Leader Info

BSG Leader: Susan Petersen. Email Susan at british@lcgsco.org to join this group to learn more about your British ancestry!

Susan Petersen

Susan became interested in genealogy about 10 yrs ago after reuniting with some maternal first cousins in Ontario who had photos, names, and dates about my grandfather who came from Scotland via Canada. Her maiden name is Fitzpatrick; this branch immigrated to Canada during the potato famine. As you can imagine, there is quite a bit of mingling between the Scots, the Irish, and the English.

She has spent a lot of time on Find My Past and Scotland’s people. She loves the fact that Ancestry.com keeps adding new records, so there are always new surprises that keeps her interested. Susan is very excited about this group reforming so all British members can share information, discuss roadblocks, and ultimately help each other advance our research!
